In 2021 the Government asked Ōtākaro, the predecessor to Rau Paenga, to oversee spending on the Canterbury ‘Shovel Ready’ projects.
These projects received financial support to help stimulate the COVID-19 impacted economy. The company’s advanced Project Support Office, which closely monitors infrastructure project progress, undertook the work.
